Part one: Monte Montgomery Trio

Monte Montgomery

Monte Montgomery is a truly surprising guitarist. The Texan’s career was launched in 1999 when he appeared on the American TV music show “Austin City Limits”. Since then, his reputation as an outstanding player has spread like wild fire largely due to his energetic live performances. His flamboyant finger picking technique and his frantic and unpredictable chord sequences have raised him to the ranks of a true, modern day guitar hero and earned him a listing in Guitar Player Magazine’s “Top 50 All-Time Greatest Guitarists”. Amateurs of virtuosity will of course get their fill of satisfaction from an evening with Monte but so will even the most demanding music lover who will end up revering this inspired musician. He willingly admits to being influenced by the likes of Mark Knopfler, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steve Vai, Albert Lee or Larry Carlton who were the heroes of his adolescent years. This diversity probably explains his own exceptionally varied musical pallet. Let us not forget that he also sings and that his voice – that moves between rock style delivery to velvet crooning – interplays wonderfully with his guitar playing.
On stage: Monte Montgomery (guitar, voice), David Piggott (bass, voice), Jamey Bell (drums, voice).

Deuxième partie : Steve Lukather - Ever Changing Times Tour

Steve LukatherIt is a well known fact that after being one of America’s most in-demand studio guitarists, Steve Lukather set up his own musical project in the form of TOTO, a band that ended up selling millions helped along by the huge hits of Rozanna and Africa that continue to enjoy World-wide radio play. Whilst not abandoning TOTO, Steve decided this year to throw himself into a new adventure with a bunch of fresh musicians. Therefore TOTO fans will discover a new band and a new repertoire with less fusion and pop tendencies (for which Toto had occasionally caught some flak) and an altogether more rock based orientation, as the inclusion of ex- Joe Satriani drummer in the starting blocks – Eric Valentine – freely attests. This notwithstanding and despite all the differences that separate this project from Toto, the fans will still find the same unique and inimitable Steve Lukather up on stage . The same Steve Lukather who seamlessly passes from a cutting and punchy riff to an almost supernaturally beautiful melody in less than a heartbeat and who effortlessly goads his audience into joining him in his rapturous musical adventure.

With him :
Tony Spinner: guitars, voice
Steve Weingart: keyboards
Carlitos Del Puerto: basse, voice
Eric Valentine: drums, voice
